An initiative of NCSY's National Education Department, the weekly Parsha Sheets are meant to guide your learning through the parsha.

Each Parsha Sheet includes the following:

  • List of key Rambans on the parsha, including a brief explanation of what issue the Ramban is discussing in each one. This list is based on the acclaimed pamphlet put out by Rabbi Fried of the Dallas Kollel (DATA).
  • List of key Gur Aryehs on the parsha (the Maharal’s commentary on Rashi), including a brief explanation of what issue the Maharal is addressing in each one. This list is based on the pamphlet assembled by Rabbi Yehoshua Hartman, who has written a commentary on nearly all of the Maharal’s works.
  • 5 Parsha Highlights, pointing out key sources, ideas, and books related to the parsha that are worth
    knowing and sharing with others.
  • One foundational topic in Machshava related to the parsha, with an in-depth breakdown of the key relevant sources. Each foundational topic in machshava is accompanied by a source sheet with all of the sources cited in the outline.

By the end of the year you’ll develop a broad knowledge of the key foundations in Jewish thought.

The sheets are designed for people who want to spend a few hours each day, or just a bit over Shabbos. But, as with everything in life, your long-term yield in the program will be commensurate with your investment!
