Why is it so important to honor your parents? This session offers 3 reasons:
(1) We need to express gratitude to our parents for raising and taking care of us.
(2) Honoring parents is our way of recognizing the important role that each set of parents plays in passing on the mesorah (Jewish tradition).
(3) Respecting our parents enables us to acklowledge and appreciate G-d as our Creator.
This session also seeks to identify the parameters of this mitzvah: In which situations must you listen to your parents? What if you have different opinion, or think they are wrong?
