Dovid Bashevkin Director of Education

Dovid Bashevkin studied in Ner Israel and completed his rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS). While in Yeshiva University, he completed a Master’s degree in Polish Hassidut under the guidance of Dr. Yaakov Elman. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Public Policy and Management at The New School’s Milano School of International Affairs.

Debbie Stone Associate Director of Education

Ms. Debbie Stone is the Associate Director of Education for National NCSY. Originally from London, she studied in Michlalah Jerusalem and holds a BA in Humanities with an emphasis in Jewish Studies, as well as a teaching degree from the General Teaching Council for England. Debbie was the Associate Subject Leader for Jewish Education in JFS School, London, for over six years. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational leadership at Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate of Jewish Education and Administration.

Rachel First Educational Content Manager & Designer

Rachel First is from Teaneck, NJ and received her bachelor’s degree from Touro College. She is passionate about creating print and web materials that present Torah concepts in a clear and meaningful way. Rachel specializes in designing infographics and typography quotes. She also has experience with web design.

Sari Borenstein Summer Programs Associate

Originally from West Hempstead, NY, Sari Borenstein studied at Michelelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) and graduated from Stern College with a Bachelors in Judaic Studies and a minor in Business. She has served as an advisor in the New York and Southern NCSY regions.

Over the past few summers, Sari has staffed various NCSY summer programs including GIVE (Girls Israel Volunteer Experience). In addition to working in the National NCSY office, Sari is the Assistant Director of JOLT (Jewish Overseas Leadership Training). Her life story is slated to be made into a major motion pictures, entitled “The Borenstein Ultimatum,” tentatively to be released in 2017 by Universal Studios.
