The goal of this learning session is for the NCSYers to get deeply involved in figuring out the logic of the Halacha presented to them. Once they get it, they have the opportunity to take what they figured out and apply it to other situations. The intellectual challenge itself is a satisfying one for many teens. In the wrap-up, you can highlight how strange the Halacha seemed at first, until they figured out what the internal logic may be. If you want, you can make an even further (but more tenuous) connection to a practical takeaway-in this case, we feel that speech connects us with others-how does that work? The Chakira of Shomei'a K'Oneh can highlight two different perspectives that adds depth to our assumption about the efficacy of speech.
